Planter Box Materials
Stainless Steel
For our stainless steel planters we use 316 stainless steel which has a satin brush finish. 316 stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance and is rated for outside use. Our planters can be up to 70% recycled material and are 100% recyclable.
Aluminum
Our powder coated aluminum planters are light weight and durable and are available in a range of colors. Our planters can be up to 70% recycled material and are 100% recyclable.
Corten
Our corten steel planters provide warm color and texture as they age and weather. The material will form a stable rust-like appearance after continued exposure to the weather. The rust (patina) acts as a protective layer and prevents the core of the metal from decomposition.
Corten Steel is reactive to moisture and will produce carbon runoff or staining to adjacent materials like stone and concrete. After the initial reactive period Corten Steel will produce less to none carbon runoff. Special Note: Corten Steel planters do not ship pre-weathered and will arrive with the bare steel finish which will have to weather over time. Our planters can be up to 70% recycled material and are 100% recyclable.
Galvannealed Steel
Our galvannealed steel planters are powder coated to provide a durable color finish. Galvannealed steel has been traditionally used in planters because of its rust resistant finish and strength. Our planters can be up to 70% recycled material and are 100% recyclable.
